二胡的生命力就是来至于二胡那种全世界独有的特殊音色,外柔内刚,通透圆润,对神经也有着一种特殊的穿透力,现在的制琴中,无论是蟒皮还是现在还在追求的人造皮都把音色看做是第一生命力,二胡音色那种特殊的质感更多的时候凭的是感觉,就像是二胡制作大赛的时候 隔着帘子听音,其他一切基本忽略,现在很多人对蟒皮的花格子有种特殊的追求,认为花越大越好,甚至指定要几个格子的,其实是个误区,大部分蟒皮的花是和皮的厚度,皮下纤维的粗细和弹性是成正比的,花越大皮也就越厚,纤维也粗,弹性差,往往导致发出的音不清晰,圆润,更谈不上通透,音量也小,
由于蟒皮对环境湿度特别敏感,再者由于蟒蛇是国家一级保护动物,国家虽然睁只眼闭只眼,在国外的尴尬却不少见,很早在人造皮方面我们国内就有过研究,虽不能完全代替蟒皮,主要是音色还不具备蟒皮的那种特殊的美感,但也解决了不少尴尬,由于科技的不断发展,各种新型材料的不断产生,人造皮二胡的音色肯定能在感觉上突出这个瓶颈,在以后的某一天,也许蟒皮二胡完全会作为一种收藏品!相信人造皮二胡由于自身音色的一致性,稳定性和可控性路会走得越来越好,
